 CEO/Director of Nursing

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, Fatiatu Ja'Usman, became adept at evaluating patients and their needs. This skill set lead to her inauguration of Angel Loving Care into the Human Service Industry in 2001 with four Assisted Living Homes. By 2005 she expanded her health practice to Home Health Care and assisted patients and their families with the development of personalized health plans to promote optimal health while living in their natural homes. It was through this venture she began to appreciate the training, staffing, and building or a care team with the specific focus of improving a person’s quality of life.

In 2008 her vision and model grew to include the intellectual and developmental community. The inception into the health and well-being of the IDD community was a culmination of her nursing education and experience as an advocate and care provider for the underserved and under-appreciated populations which, at times, are not well represented in health policy or practice. Ms. Ja'Usman believes the IDD community needs compassionate, well-trained health advocates, and support staff to assist them with their daily living activities. Her journey started with the Department on Disability Services as an Agency provider for the IDD community. The first services offered by Angel Loving Care was In Home Supports and Respite. The Agency has grown to include Companion Services, Supported Living with transportation and Individualized Day Services. Angel Love Care also partners with community wellness specialists to provide Behavioral Services, Nutrition and Fitness.

Ms. Ja'Usman remains intimately involved with the daily operations of Angel Loving Care in her roles as CEO and Director of Nursing.
